Our Mission
Youth Media Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to improving children’s access to fair, reliable, and objective educational media programming. With a focus on journalism, news, and current affairs, the Foundation seeks to accomplish its objectives by supporting organizations that provide highly engaging, educational, non-bias, fact-based, and informative content for young audiences. Grantees undergo a rigorous screening process to ensure the produced content complies with children's content best practices.
Our Vision
Through generous donations we are able to help support media properties that aim to educate today’s youth and align with our mission. Every business that YMF supports must adhere to our high standards and undergo a rigorous screening process conducted by our team to ensure the content produced by these companies complies with age-appropriate content guidelines and best practices for children’s content. Our goal is to allocate ninety percent of all gifts to the intended beneficiaries. Companies that take our donations must fulfill the following
